An exciting update in 2024… because we found so many new insects that had not been DNA barcoded before, iBOL and the Centre of Biodiversity Genomics in Canada asked if they could sequence more of our specimens! In 2022, we were able to sequence around 14,000 specimens… this year we are sequencing around 30,000 more! We’ll update you when we have the results, but we’re very excited to see what else we can uncover with all this extra information about the insect biodiversity surveyed by our wonderful school participants.
